Healthy Rural is announcing Match Day in March for the North State's inaugural Psychiatry Residency Cohort.
Match Day is an eagerly awaited event in the medical community which occurs annually in March and is when graduating medical students are officially matched with residency programs. The process is facilitated by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), where students and residency programs submit ranked preferences, and a computer algorithm pairs them based on mutual preferences. On Match Day, students gather to receive their assigned residency program, marking a significant milestone in their medical careers, and determining where they will spend the next several years training as physicians.
