Please join us as we close Child Abuse Prevention Month in Glenn County with a Memorial Day Flag Event and observe a moment of silence and reflection to honor the young Californian lives lost to violence at 11am on Friday, April 26th, at the Orland Unified School District Office, 903 South St, Orland.
The Children’s Memorial Day was established by the California Assembly in April 1997, formally declaring the fourth Friday in April as a statewide annual observance day. On the fourth Friday in April every year, communities unite to support efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect. The Children’s Memorial Flag is to be flown statewide in memory of all the young lives lost in California due to violence.
