The Glenn 2 Greatness Network, Glenn County Office of Education, and GEAR UP Rural Valley Partnership collaborated to host an impactful gathering, Future Fest. Stacey Garrett, the GEAR UP Director and event hostess, expressed her enthusiasm for hosting more convenings at their new location, including a scholarship application night. Future Fest marked the inaugural event held at this new venue. Bringing together a diverse array of organizations such as Glenn County Office of Education, Butte County Office of Education, Chico State University, Community Action Department, UC Davis, and Willows High School, the round table discussions aimed to bridge the gap between service providers and student opportunities by synergizing expertise and resources. GEAR UP Advisor, Hugo Pallacio, delivered an inspiring address underscoring the significance of student voice and community engagement. Future Fest reflects the power of partnership and collective impact in driving positive change and paving the way for a brighter future for students.
